The tree is vigorous, growing intensively at a young age, and develops a sparse, asymmetrical pyramidal crown with age. It is an autumn variety; the harvest is collected in the second half of September. The level of winter hardiness is insufficient for regions with severe climates, and freezing injury is possible.

The fruits are elongated bottle-shaped with a long neck. The skin is thin, rough, and covered with a brownish bloom that takes on a golden-russet hue upon ripening. The flesh is cream-colored or white, tender, juicy, and has a distinct flavor. The variety can be susceptible to scab and fire blight.

The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and culinary processing. The variety has become widely distributed in commercial and amateur horticulture in many countries.
