The tree is vigorous when young, with growth rate slowing down with age, forming a wide and loose crown. Fruits are large, weighing up to 200–250 g, have a wide-pear shape and firm greenish-yellow skin, sometimes with a reddish blush.

The variety is classified as late-winter: harvest maturity of fruits occurs in mid-October, consumer maturity from November to April–May. The fruits are distinguished by hardness and astringency when fresh, but become tender and sweet when cooked, acquiring a muscat tone and a reddish color.

The plant is undemanding to soil and growing conditions, flowers are resistant to spring frosts. The variety exhibits alternate bearing, and due to the large weight of the fruits, their premature dropping is often observed.
