The variety belongs to late-autumn or winter pears with harvest maturity in early October and consumer maturity from November to January. The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 3–4 meters. The variety shows moderate susceptibility to scab and limited winter hardiness, withstanding frosts down to -25°C.

Fruits are large or very large, egg-shaped or spherical-conical. The skin is smooth, greenish-yellow with a possible delicate blush. The flesh is creamy, buttery, and juicy, possessing a sweetish-wine flavor. Fruits are suitable both for fresh consumption and for various culinary processing.

The variety is partially self-fertile; to increase yield, cross-pollination is recommended with such varieties as Conference, Comice, Williams, or Beurré Hardy. The plant prefers sunny sites and moderately moist fertile soils.
