The variety was obtained by crossing Abate Fétel and Cascade. The tree is characterized by medium vigor, a semi-upright crown, and fruiting primarily on annual shoots. There is a partial incompatibility with quince rootstocks and medium productivity.
Fruits are large, with a weight of about 300 g, and have an elongated calabash-pear shape. The skin is smooth, covered with an intense red blush on 90% of the surface. The flesh is white, juicy, with a good balance of sugar and acid. The variety possesses high stability during storage in cold chambers.
The breeding program was aimed at increasing tolerance to major pear pathogens, including fire blight and psyllids. In intensive orcharding, the tree demonstrates satisfactory stability when using modern crown training systems.
