The variety is a hybrid of Abate Fétel and Cascade. The tree has medium vigor; the crown is slightly compact with a vertical branching pattern. Fruiting occurs on both one-year-old shoots and two-year-old branches; flowering is late. Due to low compatibility with quince rootstocks, the use of an interstock is recommended.
The fruits are large, weighing over 200 g, with an elongated pear shape. The skin is smooth, covered with intense red coloration on up to 90% of the surface, with a small amount of russeting in the calyx and peduncle areas. The flesh is white, juicy, crunchy, and of medium-fine texture; the taste is balanced and slightly aromatic.
The harvest takes place in the first ten days of August. The variety has good keeping quality, maintaining its condition for up to 6 months in cold storage at a temperature of –1°C without signs of internal browning. Breeding was conducted with consideration for tolerance to major pear diseases, particularly fire blight and pear psylla.
