The tree is of moderate vigor, reaching a height of 4 to 10 meters depending on the rootstock. The crown is typically broadly ovoid or conical. The variety is characterized by early onset of fruiting, which begins at approximately the 4th year, and high, although sometimes inconsistent, yields.

The fruits are pear-shaped or oval, with a weight varying from 200 to 500 grams. The skin is green at harvest, turning bright yellow upon ripening, with russeting and a possible blush. The flesh is white, juicy, buttery, and sweet.

The variety is classified as early-autumn, with harvest conducted in early September. The plant is winter hardy (zone 5A–8B) and possesses resistance to scab. The variety is self-incompatible; suitable pollinators include «Conference», «Beurre Hardy», «Doyenné du Comice», or «Bonne Louise».
