CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety is a spontaneous bud mutation of the 'Williams' pear. Trees are weak to medium-growing with a pyramidal crown shape. The fruits have a mass of 150–200 g, sometimes up to 270 g, with a bumpy surface and delicate skin, which turns dark maroon upon ripening.
The flesh of the fruit is yellowish-white, juicy, and melting, possessing a distinct muscat flavor. The variety is self-infertile and requires pollinators. The fruits are characterized by firm attachment to the pedicel and are suitable for storage in a refrigerator until November.
Resistance to scab is estimated as medium to high; however, the tree is susceptible to infestation by aphids and pear psylla. The intensity of the red fruit coloration may decrease depending on growing conditions.
