The rootstock was developed to prevent the migration of Candidatus Phytoplasma pyri from the root system to the aerial part of the tree. The plant exhibits resistance to chlorosis caused by soil pH levels.
Trees on this rootstock have medium-vigorous growth, which is approximately 80% of the growth vigor of the Kirchensaller Mostbirne rootstock. The rootstock provides good anchorage and is propagated by in vitro meristem culture.
