This rootstock provides restrained tree growth, which contributes to earlier entry into fruiting compared to using pear seedlings. It is characterized by good compatibility with most common pear varieties and low root sucker production.

The material possesses winter hardiness and moderate resistance to fire blight. It belongs to the category of dwarf or semi-dwarf rootstocks and is used for forming the tree skeleton in intensive horticulture.
