The Lombacad variety, known under the trade name Cascade, is a table variety of pear. The fruits have a pear-shaped, slightly rounded form and a characteristic red skin color. The flesh of the fruits is fine and melting; the variety is suitable for storage.

The trees possess medium to strong vigor and high productivity with medium fruit set. The variety is classified as late summer or autumn; Williams and Comice varieties are recommended for pollination. The variety is mentioned in international standards as a variety intended for fresh consumption.
