The variety was obtained as a result of a breeding program in Pillnitz by crossing Nordhäuser Winterforelle and Clapps Liebling. The tree has medium or strong growth and a pyramidal crown shape.
Fruits ripen at approximately the same time as the Konferenz variety. The yield of the variety is estimated as medium or high, however, with abundant fruiting, there is a tendency for alternate bearing.
The variety is distinguished by the attractive bright red color of the fruits. It is noted that the tree's susceptibility to fire blight is lower than the average for other pear varieties.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
