The tree is characterized by very vigorous growth and forms a large, broadly oval crown, reaching a height of 11–13 meters. The variety is considered undemanding, healthy, adapted to various conditions, including high elevations, and possesses relative resistance to fire blight.
The fruits are small, round or club-shaped, with light yellow or golden-yellow skin, often with russeting. Harvest maturity occurs in late September or October; the fruits are not intended for long-term storage and must be used within 2–4 weeks after harvest.
The fruits have a tart-sweet taste and are mainly used for the production of cider and juices. Due to its powerful root system, the variety is widely used in nurseries as a rootstock for other pear varieties.
