Variety description

The variety is an evergreen ornamental shrub with a compact, dense, and wide-spreading globular crown. An adult plant reaches 1.3–2.5 m in height and up to 1.6–3 m in width. The leaves have a leathery texture, dark green color, elliptical or lanceolate shape, and a glossy surface.

Large funnel-shaped flowers with a diameter of 7–9 cm are colored in deep red or brick-red tones with a possible orange or burgundy hue; the anthers are often white. The flowers are gathered in dense dome-shaped inflorescences of 8–16 pieces. Flowering is late, lasting from late May to mid-June.

The plant possesses high winter hardiness down to -26°C. The variety is demanding of conditions: sensitive to waterlogging, calcareous soils, and winds; however, individual representatives of the INKARHO® series exhibit increased tolerance to high soil pH levels. It is used for solitary and group plantings, hedges, and container cultivation.
