The variety has a compact, dense, and bushy habit. Four years after planting, the shrub reaches a height and width of approximately 100 cm. The foliage is small and narrow, dark green in color; the plant type varies from semi-evergreen to deciduous depending on climatic conditions.

Flowering is early or medium-early, starting in April before the foliage appears. The intensely reddish-pink flowers are star-shaped and have a large number of petals, ranging from 20 to 30. The variety is winter hardy down to -15 °C, prefers well-drained soils and locations with exposure from full sun to partial shade.
