Variety description

The variety is an evergreen hybrid rhododendron derived with the participation of Rhododendron brachycarpum. An adult shrub reaches a height of 1.5–1.7 m with a crown width of about 1 m. The plant has a dense crown and large glossy dark green leaves up to 15 cm long.

The pale pink flowers are collected in inflorescences of 10–15 pieces and have characteristic orange-red speckles on the petals. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, withstanding temperature drops down to -39...-40°C, and resistance to Verticillium wilt.

Cultivation requires acidic, organic-rich, well-drained soils. The plant needs protection from strong winds and direct midday sun. It is used in ornamental gardening for single and group plantings, as well as hedges.
