The variety is an evergreen shrub with a medium-sized, upright, globose or slightly spreading habit. By the age of 10, the bushes reach a height of about 120 cm and a width of up to 150 cm. The leaves are broadly elliptical, with an acute apex, deep green in color, matte or glossy, and slightly curved.
The flowers are about 6 cm in diameter and gathered in globose inflorescences. They are colored in a light yellow shade with a characteristic expressive pattern of dark brown and red. Flowering occurs in May. The variety is a hybrid of Rhododendron dichroanthum and has frost resistance of at least -24°C.
