The variety is an evergreen shrub with dense, vertically oriented growth. After 10 years, the plant reaches a height of about 1.2 m. The leaves are dark green and leathery. The neon-red flowers are gathered in terminal spherical inflorescences.
Flowering occurs in May. The variety possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding temperature drops down to -28°C. Planting requires acidic, fertile, and moderately moist soils; semi-shaded areas are preferred.
The plant is suitable for group plantings, use in private gardens, heather compositions, and for cultivation in containers.
