The variety is derived from a cross between Preussen and Willamette varieties. The plant forms a dense bush 1.5 to 2 meters high with long shoots that require support. The shoots are light green, turning brown at maturity, and are covered with small thorns.
The variety can exhibit mid-early ripening from June to July, as well as everbearing properties with fruiting on current-year canes in autumn. The fruits are large, firm, with shiny red skin and a conical or rounded shape.
The plant is demanding regarding soil moisture and growing conditions to ensure high yield. Susceptibility to certain viral diseases is noted, including black raspberry necrosis virus and sporadically occurring dwarf virus.
