The variety was obtained by crossing the Allegany and Atlantic varieties. Plants possess vigorous early growth, thick stems with purple pigmentation, open leaves, and white flowers.
Tubers are round in shape, medium-sized, with white flesh and light beige slightly netted skin. Eyes are superficial and moderately deep. The variety is distinguished by a long tuber dormancy period and the ability to maintain suitability for chip production after storage at 7 °C.
The variety possesses resistance to golden nematode and common scab, as well as to a number of viral infections. It may show susceptibility to internal tuber necrosis.
