The variety was obtained by crossing Valfi and breeding line VÚB 125/27. Tubers are medium-sized and elongated or horn-shaped with shallow or medium-depth eyes. The intense violet flesh color is retained after heat treatment.
The potato belongs to culinary type B, has a medium-firm texture with weak to medium mealiness and low susceptibility to after-cooking darkening. The yield of the variety is characterized as low.
The variety is resistant to late blight of foliage, moderately resistant to common scab and mechanical damage, but less resistant to viral diseases. Cultivation in soils prone to scab infection is not recommended.
