The variety is mid-late, intended for food use. The grain has a dark purple, almost black hull, saturated with anthocyanins. The endosperm consistency is hard. The produce is used for the production of grits, flour, and for sprouting.
The plant reaches a height of 110–115 cm, has a large, awned, white, spindle-shaped ear and medium tillering. The variety possesses high resistance to shattering, medium resistance to diseases and drought, as well as winter hardiness at the level of the leading varieties of the PBGI-NCS breeding.
