The variety is a winter form of wheat classified as a member of the early maturity group. In current agronomic publications, the variety is often used in comparative trials as a standard for evaluating new breeding achievements.
During studies, the variety showed very high susceptibility to wheat dwarf virus. Analyses of resistance to Fusarium head blight and biochemical studies of glutenin composition to assess baking quality were also conducted.
