A variety of American selection, it is most often described in scientific publications as a subject of study in breeding programs, serving as a source of valuable traits for the creation of new varieties.
In comparative trials, the variety showed a grain protein content at the level of 15.1–16.1%, a thousand kernel weight of more than 35 g, and a test weight of over 746 g/l. The variety has also been identified as tolerant to snow mold (Microdochium nivale) infection and resistant to a number of other fungal diseases.
