The variety is a rootstock, not intended for berry production due to the male type of flower. The vines are characterized by medium or above-medium vigor, occupying an intermediate position between the Kober 5BB and 101-14 or SO4 varieties.

The plant is resistant to soils with a high content of active lime, tolerating up to 17–20% according to Drouineau-Galet, and is also suitable for heavy and arid sites. The variety possesses high resistance to the root form of phylloxera and fungal diseases.

The characteristics of the variety depend on the specific clone, as several similar types were introduced into cultivation under a common name. The variety is valued for its affinity with scions; however, in bench grafting, the graft union success can be assessed as moderate or low.
