Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a specialized rootstock with a male flower type, not intended for berry production. The bushes are characterized by medium vigor, which allows for controlling the excessive development of vigorous scions. The vegetation period of the variety is short, although the rootstock can slightly delay the ripening dates of grafted varieties.

The plant possesses high resistance to the root form of phylloxera, some species of nematodes, and fungal diseases. It tolerates carbonate soils well, withstanding up to 30% total limestone and up to 20% active lime. The variety prefers fertile stony, clay, and loamy soils, but adapts poorly to heavy and waterlogged soils.

When using this rootstock, potassium deficiency may occur in sensitive scion varieties due to the peculiarities of mineral nutrient uptake. The rooting capacity of cuttings is rated as weak, often requiring the use of growth stimulants. Compatibility with scions is satisfactory, sometimes requiring an increase in the stratification period.
