The variety is a hybrid (Sylvaner × Riesling) × Müller-Thurgau. The plant has medium to strong vigor and requires mandatory training and trellising.

The leaves of the variety are 3–5-lobed, slightly incised. The bunches are medium-sized, dense, and cylindrical-conical in shape. The berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, yellow-green in color, with thin skin.

The variety has weak winter hardiness and is sensitive to spring frosts. There is moderate or increased sensitivity to fungal diseases, such as downy mildew, powdery mildew, Phomopsis, and, in conditions of high humidity, to grey mold.

Wines from this variety are characterized by moderate or low acidity and distinct aromas of blackcurrant, citrus, apple, and flowers. Bacchus can also be consumed as a table grape.
