The variety is a vigorous plant with perfect flowers. Leaves are round or pentagonal, three- or five-lobed, with medium-density arachnoid-bristly pubescence on the underside. Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical or cylindro-conical, medium-density or dense. Berries are round, dark blue, covered with a thick waxy bloom.

The variety is considered undemanding to soils, characterized by fairly high resistance to diseases, but requires winter covering and crop thinning. Wines from this variety have an intense color, fruity aroma with notes of cherry, plum, and wild berries, as well as moderate acidity and velvety tannins.
