The variety is native to Andalusia and is currently cultivated in limited volumes for winemaking within the framework of projects for preserving the historical heritage of the region. The plants are adapted to cultivation in mountain microclimate conditions at altitudes from 600 to 900 meters above sea level, where the variety is adjusted to significant diurnal temperature fluctuations.

In current scientific publications, detailed agrotechnical descriptions of the variety, including morphological traits and disease resistance, are practically absent. The variety is used in projects to create wines with a unique terroir character and requires differentiation from other wine brands and varietal synonyms.
