The variety features vigorous growth and hermaphroditic flowers. The bunches are medium-sized, cylindroconical, and of medium density. The berries are blue-black with thick skin and juicy, uncolored pulp.
The variety shows moderate frost resistance down to –23 °C. It is susceptible to downy mildew, has moderate to low resistance to powdery mildew, and relative resistance to gray mold.
The grapes are used for producing red wines with deep color and are often used in blends to improve color. Single-varietal wines are characterized by a mild taste with notes of cherry and blackberry, with low acidity and tannin levels.
