The variety is the result of a natural cross between Blaue Zimmettraube and Grüner Silvaner. The bushes are characterized by above-average vigor. The period from bud burst to full maturity of the berries is about 129 days with an active temperature sum of 2650°C.

Leaves are medium, round, 3- or 5-lobed. Clusters are medium, conical, often with a wing, dense or medium-dense. Berries are dark blue, with thin skin and juicy flesh. The variety has low resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, grey mold, and winter frosts, but is resistant to spring frosts.

Yield is 85–110 c/ha and higher. Wines are characterized by low acidity, low tannin content, lightness, and a fruity profile. When yield is restricted, it is possible to obtain more full-bodied wines. In rare cases, it is used as a table grape.
