The variety is the result of a natural cross between Coarnă Albă and Gouais Blanc. The plant is characterized by vigorous shoot growth, perfect flowers, and five-lobed leaves. Clusters are large, conical, and medium-dense; berries are round in shape and range in color from white to yellowish-green, sometimes with a copper-yellow tint.

The variety belongs to the mid-late category, with harvest taking place in the second half of September to early October. Dimyat tolerates drought well, but is sensitive to low winter temperatures below -16 °C and is susceptible to fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew, while being resistant to grey mold.

The wine grape variety is intended for the production of dry, dessert, and sparkling wines, as well as rakia. The resulting wines are characterized by lightness, moderate acidity, and fruity-vanilla aromatic nuances. There are variations of the variety that differ in berry color, in particular Dimyat cherven.
