Variety description

The variety forms bushes with strong shoot growth. Clusters are medium or large, cylindrical or cylindrical-conical in shape, dense. Berries are medium, round, dark blue or blue-black in color.

The plant possesses increased resistance to diseases compared to other Vitis vinifera varieties, shows good resistance to chlorosis and viruses, medium resistance to Botrytis cinerea, and satisfactory winter hardiness. Early bud break makes the variety vulnerable to spring frosts.

Wines from the Domina variety are characterized by an intense dark red color, full body, and aromas of cherry, blackberry, and blueberry. Due to the high content of coloring substances, the juice of the variety is sometimes used to improve the color of other wines, and the wines themselves are often aged in barrels.
