The variety is autochthonous to the Lot River valley. The grape bunches are medium to large in size, conical in shape, and possess small wings. The berries are small or medium, spherical or elliptical in shape, with moderately juicy flesh and medium-thickness skin that remains green even at full maturity.

The plant has high vigor and fertility, which allows for short pruning due to the fruitfulness of the basal buds. The variety is characterized by late bud break and a late ripening period. It is resistant to heat and Botrytis cinerea, while demonstrating moderate sensitivity to downy mildew and powdery mildew.

Wines produced from this variety are characterized by balance, high alcohol content, and good acidity. They feature a mineral profile, persistent aromatics, and the potential for aging on lees or in oak barrels.
