The wine grape variety Holubok was bred at the V. E. Tairov National Scientific Center Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking. The variety was created as part of a program for breeding complex-resistant varieties.

Wine made from this grape variety possesses an intense ruby color. The variety allows for the production of good quality wine without the use of complex technological processes.
