The variety was obtained by breeder August Herold in 1955 as a result of crossing Riesling and Ruländer varieties. The plant has upright, moderate growth with low lateral shoot formation.

The vine is distinguished by good maturation and resistance to winter frosts. The variety demonstrates stable yield, high berry set, and low susceptibility to gray mold.

Wine from this variety is characterized by a distinct fruit bouquet with notes of peach, apricot, citrus, and pineapple. Currently, the variety is considered rare and is cultivated on limited areas.
