NEGREDA is a local ancient grape variety originating from the Castile and León region. In ITACYL scientific studies, the variety was researched as part of a program to restore genetic diversity, with the name "NEGREDA" often used as a synonym for the Juan García or Mouratón varieties.

Like other traditional varieties of the region, NEGREDA is characterized by late ripening and the ability to maintain high acidity in the berries. The variety is a wine grape and is used for the production of wines, including single-varietal and blended versions.
