Noir Fleurien belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and is of French origin. The variety is considered nearly extinct and is cultivated on a limited scale, primarily in the Auvergne region. Its synonyms include Damas Rouge, Fleurien Noir, Mirefleurie and Mire Fleurien.

The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and the ability to withstand low temperatures. For planting, the variety prefers dry soils with a high limestone content. Wine produced from this grape is characterized by low alcohol content.
