The variety belongs to the category of traditional ones that existed before the phylloxera epidemic in the 19th century. Within the framework of biodiversity conservation projects, studies are being conducted on its oenological potential for producing wines with moderate alcohol content and good acidity.

Previously, the variety faced difficulties in ripening, but over the last 15 years, against the backdrop of climate change, the variety has begun to demonstrate stable and balanced fruit ripening. Currently, the variety is undergoing the registration procedure in the commercial variety register of Spain.
