Variety description

The variety has medium vigor and perfect flowers. The leaf is medium-sized, wedge-shaped or pentagonal, with pubescence on the underside. The petiolar sinus is closed. The cluster is medium or large, conical in shape, and dense. The berries are medium or large, oval, golden-white in color, sometimes with a pinkish-brown tint, and covered with a waxy bloom.

The variety has a medium ripening period and is prone to early bud burst, making it sensitive to spring frosts. It tolerates heat and drought well and is capable of growing in poor soils, but is sensitive to magnesium deficiency. Resistance to fungal diseases is medium; the variety is susceptible to Botrytis cinerea and Oidium.

Wines from this variety are characterized by a neutral taste with moderate acidity and potential floral or muscat notes. Currently, the variety is considered rare and is at risk of extinction; its plantings in France occupy less than 2 hectares.
