The grape variety Petit Ribier, known as Ribier noir, is a natural hybrid of Gouais blanc and an unknown variety. The leaf is pentagonal and deeply lobed. Bunches are medium or large, conical and dense. Berries are medium, round, dark blue with a waxy bloom. The variety is of universal use with late bud burst and a medium or medium-late ripening period. The plant is not resistant to frost and fungal diseases.

In the context of oil crops, Petit Ribier is mentioned in scientific publications and genetic resource catalogs as a distinct olive tree genotype used in oil production.
