The variety is early-ripening, and the vines possess moderate vigor. Bunches are small or medium, often cylindrical or cylindrical-conical in shape, and are characterized by a very dense structure. The berries have a grayish-blue, pinkish, or reddish-brown skin tint and juicy pulp.

The variety prefers a cool climate and well-drained soils, including limestone, gravelly, and volcanic soils. Due to early bud break, the vine is vulnerable to spring frosts and is also susceptible to powdery mildew, chlorosis, and viral diseases. The yield of the variety is characterized as unstable.

The purpose of the grape is the production of white and, less frequently, rosé wines. The characteristics of the finished product depend heavily on growing conditions and terroir, varying from light wines with high acidity to rich, full-bodied beverages.
