Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid containing about 90% of Vitis vinifera genetic material. It is genetically derived from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Regent varieties. The bushes are characterized by medium to above-average vigor, upright shoots, and low lateral shoot formation.

The bunches are elongated, conical, with a loose or very loose structure, which reduces the risk of gray mold infection. The berries are medium-sized, round, dark blue in color with thick, firm skin and colorless juice. Harvesting is carried out in mid-to-late September.

The variety has high resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold, as well as frost resistance down to -24 °C. It is used exclusively for winemaking. The resulting wines have balanced acidity and soft tannins, with a style reminiscent of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
