ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine

The variety is a representative of the "forgotten" varieties found in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The plant is distinguished by a long growing cycle: bud burst occurs in mid-April, and harvest takes place in mid-October. The crop is well-adapted to high temperatures and arid conditions, growing successfully at altitudes of about 950 meters above sea level.
The grape belongs to wine varieties and is used for creating monovarietal red wines. The products possess intense pigmentation, high acidity, and tannin levels. Flavor and aromatic properties include notes of red fruits, violet, spicy and mineral shades, while the texture of the wine is often compared to Pinot Noir.
