The German wine variety Accent was obtained in 1982 by crossing the varieties Kolor and Chancellor. It belongs to the group of teinturier varieties with colored pulp and juice, forms loose bunches and requires a long ripening period. Wines from this variety have a tannic structure and notes of vanilla; the variety is characterized by resistance to fungal diseases.

The table hybrid form Accent, bred by V. M. Kalugin, is distinguished by an ultra-early ripening period and vigorous vine growth. The berries are large, oval in shape, weighing 12–18 g, and possess a muscat flavor. The form is characterized by high yield, increased resistance to diseases, and frost resistance down to -23°C.
