Variety description

The variety is of French origin from the Lot-et-Garonne department and has been known since the 19th century. The vines are characterized by high vigor, and the flower is perfect. The leaf is large or medium, five-lobed, with arachnoid pubescence on the underside.

The cluster is medium or large, conical or cylindrical-conical in shape, often with a wing, and dense. The berry is medium-sized, round, dark blue or black in color with a thick and firm skin. The yield of the variety is medium or high, and the ripening of the shoots is good.

A wine variety suitable both for blending and for creating monovarietal wines. The wines are characterized by a deep color, notes of black berries, and low acidity.
