The variety has a number of synonyms, including Albarín Blanco, Raposo, Blanco Verdín, and Blanco País. The plant is characterized by medium shoot vigor, small clusters of medium density, and oval yellow-green berries. The yield of the variety is estimated as medium or low.
The variety possesses resistance to Botrytis and tolerates the extreme conditions of the Atlantic region well. The grapes are used for the production of wines with high aromatic potential, a high level of alcohol, and moderate acidity. The wines are distinguished by a fruity taste and are suitable for aging, though they are often used in blends to achieve balance.
