The variety is the result of crossing the maternal form Ribier (Alphonse Lavallée) and the paternal form Crimson Seedless. The berries of the variety are characterized by the absence of full-sized seeds, containing only rudiments, and have black skin coloration.
The grape possesses high flesh density; the berries are resistant to cracking and are distinguished by a long storage period, which is at least one month. To achieve berry weight characteristics, the use of gibberellins or vine girdling is not required.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
