The variety is a hybrid of the Listan (Palomino) and Chardonnay varieties, with genetic analysis also confirming the involvement of the Pinot variety. The variety is vigorous, has long shoots prone to drooping, which requires mandatory trellising and short pruning.

The purpose of the variety is industrial, for the production of white wines, often in blends. The early-ripening grape is productive, however, it is prone to rapid loss of acidity during ripening. The resulting wines are sensitive to oxidation.

The variety is characterized by good resistance to Botrytis cinerea. At the same time, it is sensitive to Phomopsis and powdery mildew (Oidium), and is less susceptible to downy mildew and mite infestation.
