The variety has its genetic origin in the Lake Geneva region of Switzerland. The plant has weak to medium vigor, average disease resistance, and frost resistance down to -17 °C. The vines graft well with rootstocks and demonstrate medium to high yields with proper management.
Berries are medium-sized, round in shape, and turn golden-yellow with a tan when ripe. The skin is thin and firm, the pulp is tender and melting, and the taste is characterized as pleasant and neutral. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and for the production of dry, low-acid wines capable of developing honey and nutty notes during aging.
