The variety is a natural mutation of the Chasselas variety, also known by the synonym Gutedel roter. It is a dual-purpose variety suitable for both fresh consumption and winemaking.
The plant belongs to early-ripening varieties; the growing season is approximately 129 days with an active temperature sum of 2600°C. The vines are characterized by medium vigor. The clusters are medium-sized, conical, and dense. The berries are medium to large, round, dark pink in color with a heavy waxy bloom, thin skin, and a sweet taste.
The variety is sensitive to unfavorable conditions: frost resistance ranges from -15 to -18°C, drought tolerance is low, and susceptibility to fungal diseases is also noted. The crop requires mandatory regular pruning and training on supports, as it is a vine.
